Middle Office Associate

Trexquant is a growing systematic fund manager with a core team of highly accomplished technologists. We apply a wide variety of statistical and machine learning techniques to build investment portfolios and trade our client assets in global equity and futures markets. In recent years, we have increased the breadth of markets in which we participate, the number and scale of our data sources, and the complexity of our forecasting algorithms. We seek a Middle Office Associate to support our expanding infrastructure and growing needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Performing daily PnL reconciliations and assisting with the automation thereof
• Reconciling share quantities, prices, and market values and investigating, processing, and electing on corporate actions
• Acting as liaison between administrators, prime brokers and counterparties to facilitate break resolution
• Reviewing and processing payment of invoices to various external payees, including data vendors and other professional services firms
• Managing the internal reimbursement process, including confirming adherence to company policies
• Supervising the daily margin process across multiple counterparties for our legacy commingled fund and managed accounts, including responding to and satisfying margin calls, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
• Memorializing operational procedures for mission critical tasks

• Bachelor’s degree in business/finance/accounting or related discipline
• 1+ years experience in Accounting or Back Office Operations working for a Prime Broker, Administrator, Hedge Fund, Mutual Fund, Investment Advisor or Financial/Retirement Planner
• Prior experience with Equities, Fixed Income, Futures, FX, and/or Options preferred
• Proficiency in MS Excel
