ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Mid- to Senior- Backend Engineer , you will be part of a fast-moving, dynamic team that designs and builds an ecosystem of services powering a product that is fundamentally changing how real estate leasing works. From database modeling to API architecture to infrastructure automation, this role encompasses all functionalities that drive Vero’s platform goals forward. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in English, will be well-versed in collaborating with both US based and distributed offshore teams, and comfortable developing SaaS solutions leveraging industry-standard PaaS providers. 

What You'll Do

• Turn product concepts into reality by working with other Engineers and the Product Team to create a product roadmap and ensure impeccable execution.
• Work with multiple engineering teams on a range of projects at any one time. These projects cover a range of areas from third party integrations to algorithm implementations; open api and automation and analytics.
• Write quality code to implement reliable and sustainable software, focusing primarily on server-side application components such as web APIs, asynchronous workers, and integration with new and legacy third party application code.

Who You Are

• Expertise in Javascript / Typescript, NodeJS, Celery, Postgres, Redis, DynamoDB, Docker, and AWS.
• Additional expertise in: Python-Django, Django REST framework,
• 2+ years with Postgres or a similar RDBMS
• 2+ years of API design, development, and testing experience leveraging industry standards
• Demonstrated skill in software architecture in multi-tenant, heterogenous service ecosystems 

Helpful Skills

• Facility with Agile development ceremonies and processes
• Experience with deploying / managing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with industry-standard information security and compliance best practices and certifications (SOC, CCPA, etc.)
• Experience with Django and Django REST frameworks
• Experience with / understanding of United States real estate rental operations and regulations
