Mid/Senior Technical Sustainment Systems Engineer

Belay Technologies is seeking a Mid/Senior Systems Engineer to support and join our intel team. This engineer will provide hands-on technical support to CENTERMASS, a critical national security mission system that delivers time-sensitive intelligence around the world. The team supporting CENTERMASS works with cutting edge technology to manage high-volume and time-sensitive data throughput in response to Intelligence Community and world-wide partner needs. Responsibilities may include: providing support to end users, system troubleshooting, writing technical documentation, and writing automated scripts.

Telework is not expected for this role. Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly one week out of every six weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

• TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineer (SE) required, or in similar field or scope.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in SE is required, or in similar field or scope.

Candidates are required to have the following skills:

• Providing effective and efficient support to end users based on an in-depth understanding of the system
• Writing scripts to automate general system operations or DevOps activities
• Troubleshooting system issues, identifying root causes, and resolving problems
• Writing and updating technical system documentation

Candidates are desired to have the following skills:

• Agile software development practices
• Jira and Confluence
• Agency reporting tools and solutions
• Answering user questions via ticketing queue, phone, email, and/or instant message
• Identifying bugs and user trends; documenting issues and providing detailed input to software developers to resolve user issues
• Maintaining a knowledge base of common ticket responses
