In this pivotal role, you will oversee a team of SIPT leaders, driving innovation and excellence in projects that will impact military aircraft.Key Responsibilities
- Technical and Financial Oversight: Ensure the technical success of projects while managing costs, schedules, and risks. Your strategic leadership will be essential in delivering high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of SIPT leaders, fostering an environment of growth, collaboration, and innovation. Your hands-on approach will inspire and guide the team to achieve their full potential.
- Portfolio Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analyze portfolio challenges and develop recommendations to adjust project plans. Your ability to identify and resolve issues will ensure project success and continuous improvement.
- Execution of Trade Studies: Conduct and oversee trade studies to evaluate project alternatives, making data-driven decisions that optimize project outcomes. Your analytical expertise will be crucial in this process.
- Requirements Decomposition: Ensure the complete and accurate decomposition of program requirements, guaranteeing that all project aspects are thoroughly addressed. Your attention to detail will be paramount.
- Achieving Design to Cost (DTC) Goals: Drive efforts to meet DTC goals, balancing quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Your strategic mindset will help achieve these critical objectives.
- Supporting Market Analysis Documentation: Contribute to market analysis documentation, providing insights that inform strategic decisions and future product development. Your input will be vital in shaping our market presence.

- Provide leadership, training, coaching, and oversight of an experienced engineering team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with program management, design engineering, verification & validation engineering, and other team members to achieve elegant and reliable solutions
- Implement robust change management processes
- Develop professional and technical development plans for the team and act as a coach / mentor
- Lead your team in implementing continuous improvements
- Acquire and develop engineering talent through recruiting, hiring, and management processes
- Review, maintain, and optimize standard work instructions ensuring both process completeness along with process speed
- May travel domestically < 10%
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
- Experience with commercial and/or FAR compliant earned value reporting
- Ability to obtain security clearance at a future date
- Aerospace experience
- Lean/Six Sigma experience
