Job Description
Torch Technologies is currently seeking an experienced systems engineer/analyst to support Tactical Missile System (TACS) initiatives in a team centric environment on Redstone Arsenal. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
The position consists of performing missile system modeling and simulation execution; analysis tool development, pre- and post-flight data generation; and algorithm testing and analysis. Some travel may be required in support of flight tests.
Desired experience requires an understanding of missile flight dynamics and performance, six degree of freedom missile simulations, Monte-Carlo techniques, control actuation systems, target tracking and flight trajectory predictions. Experience with the analysis of optical and/or RF target signatures preferred.
Position requires that candidate meets requirements to obtain a final security clearance to access classified information. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
Job Requirements
• B.S. or M.S.in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
• 8-10 years of experience
• Experience with MATLAB, C++, python, or other programming languages. Knowledge of Fortran preferred.
Proven complex problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Desire to learn new skills, tools, models, and simulations
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment which includes multiple government and contractor teams
• Positive attitude
• Strong work ethic
• Capable of working in a diverse, multi-disciplined group
