Mission Assurance Systems Engineer

KBR is seeking a Mission Assurance Systems Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. KBR's National Security Technologies Group (NTG) provides high-end engineering, intelligence, cyber security, missile defense, and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities, helping them solve their most difficult challenges. In this position, you'd be working on a team making a profound impact on the country's most critical role - protecting our national security.

As the Mission Assurance Systems Engineer, you will provide support to the Mission Assurance (MA) Executive and team. MA resides within the Systems Engineering Directorate (SED), but supports efforts across the agency and external entities as well. You will integrate and support a diverse team of experts from federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs), government personnel, and other Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) personnel. The goal of MA is to assure mission success for current and future missions, systems, and efforts - this will include management of standards, risk assessments, awareness and tracking of satellite anomalies and failures, testing and analysis of emerging technologies, targets stimulation of the space manufacturing base, and educational outreach. While your duties may fluctuate day to day, you'll be responsible for:

• Facilitating daily operations across all functional areas and efforts of the MA office
• Evaluating, prioritizing, assigning, track, and work internal and external tasks to ensure timely accomplishment with requisite quality
• Advising MA Executive and Deputy on the execution of current and near-term priority issues and tasks to include such items as assessments of technologies, coordination with other offices, risks to acquisition programs, and outreach with senior officials across the government and commercial sectors.
• Coordinating and participating in efforts of government/FFRDC/SETA experts supporting mission assurance activities
• Supporting programs for the development and health of the space industrial base and the maintenance of the list of critical technologies
• Supporting technical studies of new technologies and manufacturing methods for suitability for assured space applications
• Supporting the documentation, risk management, issue resolution, and opportunity management associated with the Industrial Base (IB) and Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) efforts to include internal and external education and outreach
• Supporting, managing, and contributing to the development and maintenance of governance, policies, directives, and instructions
• Supporting the planning and execution of conferences, forums, and working groups

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with CI Poly
• 10+ years relevant experience; DoD or IC experience a plus
• Bachelor's Degree required; STEM degree or advanced degree
• 5+ years of agency experience highly desired
• Familiarity with Atlassian software tools (JIRA/Confluence)
• Familiarity with Adobe Connect software
