Mission Integration Manager - CRS 2
Job Description

The Mission Integration Manager for the CRS 2 Program will serve as a Mission Operations Business Partner to the CRS 2 Program Manager to ensure that customer requirements for each mission are properly captured, allocated, and implemented. Specific areas of responsibility include:
- Resides in the Mission, Launch, & Recovery Operations organization but is embedded with the staff of the CRS 2 Program Manager as the Leader of the "Mission Execution IPT"
- Capture & analyze all mission requirements from the business sector and associated Program Office and flow them to all Sierra Space organizations supporting the program and the contract
- Serve as Control Account Manager for mission-specific control accounts
- Oversee & manage the complete master schedule of all Sierra Space Missions & Launches for the CRS 2 Commercial Cargo Contract
- Manage the Mission Execution Budget that is allocated from the CRS 2 Program Office and align with the SVP of Mission, Launch, & Recovery Operations to allocate that budget to the Mission, Launch, & Recovery Operations organization
- Report on performance to plan for the aggregate work scope & budget of the Mission, Launch, & Recovery organization to the Sector General Management and to the CRS 2 Program Manager
- Serve as the delegated authority of the Mission, Launch, & Recovery Operations organization responsible for mission execution requirements compliance and closure of non-compliances, exceptions, & deviations for each mission
- Coordinate and negotiate details of Sierra Space's mission execution with the customer by delegated authority from the CRS 2 Program Manager
The Mission Integration Manager is responsible for providing tactical & strategic leadership across people, process and tool platforms and collaborating with senior business leaders, to provide the strategic approach, capabilities and principles needed to serve as the voice & face of Sierra Space to the customer concerning mission planning & execution at a programmatic level. The role is located in Florida, in Colorado, or in Houston at the Sierra Space offices and reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Mission, Launch, & Recovery Operations and is matrixed to the CRS 2 Program Manager.
Must-haves:
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience in senior level operations, space launch and/or vehicle operations leadership
- Relevant work experience may substitute for required education
- Considerable knowledge of management practice and policy interpretation or some combination of education and experience that would enable senior technical capability allowing the incumbent to independently evaluate, select, and apply techniques and standards
- Experience leading, directing, and controlling development projects to include planning, defining requirements and budget, systems design, programming, and controls, analysis testing
- Demonstrated strong leadership, collaboration, project management, problem-solving, change management and influencing skills. Comfortable and well-practiced leading teams
- Experience serving as a technical advisor to a senior leadership team
- Ability to effectively communicate. Proficiency in Word and Excel required
Preferred:
- Prior experience serving in NASA Mission Operations, NASA Ground Operations, or in a NASA Program Office supporting human spaceflight.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, highly professional, diplomatic, demonstrated executive level presence, outstanding stewardship and relationship building skills
- Well-rounded professional with a can do spirit; proactive, value add, innovator, problem solver, creates business partnerships and rapport
- Strategic planning, budgeting, & contract administration experience
- Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Flexibility and adaptability to rapidly changing business situations and circumstances
- Highly organized, able to prioritize and manage multi-projects and personnel in complex and matrixed organization. Excellent level of attention to detail/thoroughness

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $154,786.56 - $212,831.52
Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
