The Role
We're seeking a fun, thoughtful, and experienced Mobile Developer, who will help to make our app the best in the industry. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with the intricacies of mobile app development as well as the ever changing landscape of maintaining a mobile app. They will be comfortable working with a talented team and humble enough to acknowledge what they don't know. They will report directly to the Mobile Development Team Lead, and must be a strong fit for the company's culture and values.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing and maintaining the Skimmer Mobile app (iOS and Android)
• Building new features and functionality based on UI/UX mockups and detailed work items provided by the Product Team
• Ensuring the app stays up-to-date and compatible with new OS versions
• Implementing best-practice patterns such as MVVM and functional programming
• Implementing design patterns and solutions provided by the Architecture team
• Working closely with the Architecture team to modernize the back-end API
• Testing features and bug fixes before handoff to QA
• Writing code that meets production requirements and company standards
• Ensuring that code is regression free, properly documented, and unit tested

Requirements

• 5+ years of Xamarin/Xamarin.Forms development experience
• Experienced working in Azure
• Strong C#/.NET development experience
• Experience with best-practice API design
• Experience with MVVM frameworks, particularly ReactiveUI
• Experience with unit testing frameworks, including NUnit/XUnit
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to translate intricate business objectives and processes into technical solutions
• Strong problem solving and research skills
• A love of the Microsoft .NET stack and working with Distributed Systems
• Solid knowledge of Agile development methodologies
