Mobile Systems Engineer - hybrid

We are looking to hire a Mobile Systems Engineer with a focus on mobile applications development and security. The successful candidate will have hands-on software development experience in mobile applications and operating systems in addition to security technologies and products. We are seeking candidates with a passion for research accompanied by a practical understanding of developing solutions for the real world.

This is a hybrid role, mostly working remote and going into the office on an as needed basis.

What you will do:

• Actively participate in the design, build, test, and implementation phases of product development and research programs focused on advancing operational outcomes, security, and privacy in mobile platforms
• Join a small, highly-focused team that values initiative and creative spirit
• Become intimately familiar with all aspects of what goes on inside of today's smartphones, including the hardware, kernel, drivers, firmware, framework, and apps

What you will need:

• A four-year degree in CS, EE, or Mathematics, or related on the job experience
• Software development experience in either C++ or Java , preferably with experience building mobile applications that leverage onboard sensors and device hardware
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

What we would like:

• Experience in cutting edge cybersecurity research and development
• Experience building or modifying Android or other mobile operating systems
• Experience building mobile applications for public safety or National security use-cases
• Experience with network stack development
• Experience with Linux kernel namespaces
• Experience with content-based, data-oriented, or named data networking architectures
• Experience with wireless (NFC/Bluetooth/802.11/LTE) protocols and hardware
• Experience developing or modifying Internet-of-Things (IOT) devices
• Experience with ARM assembly language
• Experience developing security solutions and products
