Job Description
Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is currently seeking to hire a candidate to conduct high-level model and simulations (M&S) in support of integrated air and missile defense (IAMD), Space, and/or cyber analysis. Analytic results inform critical programmatic decisions to multiple DoD-level organizations through the application of modeling and simulation tools. The candidate will work onsite with the customer within the Space and Missile Defense Center of Excellence (SMD CoE) and become a valued employee-owner to our dynamic and employee-centric culture.
Specific tasks to support impactful M&S efforts include study plan coordination, scenario development, representation instantiation, scenario testing, output extraction, analysis, and results development. Operations research/systems analysis (ORSA) or applied mathematics background is preferred but not required. Specific M&S tools operated may include: EADSIM, AFSIM, TGx, STK, and C2BMC planner. Expertise with one or more of these tools is strongly desired, however relevant experience with similar M&S tools will be considered such as: MATLAB, STORM, SEAS, or GIANT.
Job Requirements
Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience and a Bachelors' degree, preferably in a technical field; additional experience may be considered in lieu of specific degree.
Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
The desired candidate will have experience in the following:
β’ Strong analytic and communication skills
β’ Strong ability to work independently and perform as part of a team both locally and remotely
β’ Experience in using Air and Missile Defense MS&A tools
β’ Experience in IAMD system knowledge (e.g., Aegis, THAAD, Patriot, IFPC, M-SHORAD, directed energy, air platforms, air/ground sensors)
β’ Some experience in modeling cyber effects
β’ Familiarity with IAMD defense design/operational planning
β’ Familiarity with doctrine, employment, and TTPs of IAMD operations
β’ Some experience in scripting/programing tools
β’ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other statistical S/W tools
