The N133 Resilient Weapon Systems Department is seeking experienced architects and systems engineers who can apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) methods and tools to develop a SysML and UAFML models using the Cameo Enterprise Architecture modeling tool, as well as analyze complex systems to gain insights into performance and capabilities. MITRE is looking for technical expertise with proven success in applying Model-based System Engineering practices to include digital engineering, architecture development, requirements and technology trade analysis, and acquisition to support the Air Force Weapons Systems Program Offices at Eglin AFB, FL. This role includes contributing and/or leading a dynamic multi-disciplined technical team solving critical problems and developing improvements through innovation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Apply deep understanding of MBSE best practices to assess requirements, develop program-related Cameo models, assess designs, identify, and mitigate performance constraints and gaps, evaluate proposed changes, and support verification and test, to enable data driven acquisition and investment decisions.
• Provide technical expertise as a trusted advisor to the government sponsor.
• Become a focal point for the government for technical issues and leverage MITRE's resources to their fullest advantage.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in one of the following disciplines, Electrical, Computer, Software or Systems Engineering and 8 years of related experience; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience
• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top/Secret/SCI clearance.
• Extensive experience with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods, UML-based modeling languages (e.g., SysML, UAF, and RAAML), tools, and standards to build systems models.
• Proven ability to work independently to learn new MBSE technologies, techniques, processes, languages, and best practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop a trusted advisor relationship with senior leaders, and effectively communicate and collaborate with multiple engineering/program disciplines with proven success in working across organizational boundaries to deliver results.
• Familiarity with DoD Acquisition to include technical evaluations of contractor proposals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience with modeling languages, such as SysML and the Unified Architecture Framework Modeling Language (UAFML)
• Experience with M&S including integration of descriptive and analytical models, and multiple M&S applications to perform more comprehensive simulations
• Experience with missile weapon systems from technical and operational perspective
• Ability to quickly respond to changing program and political environment while keeping strategic focus intact
