Job Description:

IERUS Technologies is seeking an experienced Modeling and Simulation Engineer (5+ years) to contribute to support a missile defense program. Our applications include: space-based systems, radar, EOIR, RF and IR signatures, RF testing, electronics and systems integration, antennas, image processing, GPU acceleration, RF signal processing and tracking algorithms, communications systems, and more. The Modeling and Simulation Engineer is responsible for:

• Key developer of complex, optical modeling software;
• Implement scientific algorithms in MATLAB;
• Interpret physics based models;
• Write new software to interface with existing code.

Required Qualifications:

• BS in a STEM degree, and prefer a MS in Engineering, Physics, or a related field;
• Analytical thinker;
• Ability to identify and define problems, extract key information, and develop workable solutions;
• Methodical approach to problems;
• Analytical approach to problem solving, software development, and debugging;
• Ability to define and execute tests to verify problem and implemented solutions;
• Detail oriented;
• Creative problem solving and exploration;
• Self-directing efforts towards a big picture goal;
• Active Secret clearance or higher;
• 5+ years of experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficient in MATLAB;
• Experience with Python;
• Ability to travel periodically;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Knowledge of optical physics and image processing is preferred.
