Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking candidates to join a multi-disciplinary team in developing, maintaining, enhancing, and leveraging modeling and simulation (M&S) in support of Army Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) programs which include Advanced Threat Detection Systems and Electronic Countermeasure systems.

The position consists of performing ASE system performance analysis, Digital System Model (DSM) execution, developing tools to process and analyze data, and developing and integrating additional models, components and capabilities. In addition to the execution and analysis of DSM data, activities can include synthetic scene generation, signatures analysis, sensor modeling, and threat model integration. Candidates can expect to be primarily located on-site at government facilities working closely with teammates in direct support of customers and primary stakeholders. Travel is not typically required for this position, although select opportunities can arise.

Experience desired with modeling and simulation, analysis, software development and maintenance. Knowledge of ASE systems and programs are a plus, but not required. Candidates should possess an enthusiasm for learning and an ability to work closely with teammates and customers daily. Familiarity with Linux systems, scripting languages (Python, Bash), team-based Software Development Tools (Git, etc.), and Object-Oriented Design and Programming, (C/C++, C#, Java) a plus.

Job Requirements

B.S. degree or better in engineering, computer science, physics, or another technical discipline from an accredited university is required. Candidates with 5 or more years of experience in supporting Army or Department of Defense related fields are preferred but not required.

Position requires that candidate meets requirements to obtain and maintain a security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to obtain and maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position. Some travel may berequired for this position.
