OVERVIEW & IMPACT:

Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. is looking for an experienced engineering professional with systems design expertise in cellular wireless communications, particularly 4G and 5G. Strong physical layer expertise is desired as well as experience in 3GPP standardization activities especially in RAN1.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Actively participating in and contributing to systems engineering activities of Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. related to 4G and 5G
• Providing systems support for implementation and technical contributions towards cellular communications specifications such as 3GPP NR RAN1
• Regularly attending meetings for cellular communications standardization such as 3GPP NR RAN1
• Conducting advanced research on future cellular technologies

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong background in communication theory and signal processing
• Strong background in cellular communication systems design
• Strong background in 3GPP standardization activities especially in RAN1
• C/C++/MATLAB coding skills

PREFERED SKILLS

• Modem implementation experience with strong background in modem PHY algorithms design including channel estimation, advanced receivers etc.
• PhD is preferred.
• BS + 5 years of exp/MS + 3 years of exp/PhD + 0 year of exp
