About the role -
As a global technology leader in Financial Services, IBKR maintains tens of thousands of individual IT components and millions of dollars of infrastructure supporting the business. Inside our global IT operations centers, these systems, networks, processes, and infrastructure are monitored 24/7/365 ensuring platform stability and proper function.
We are searching for someone to monitor our vast IT systems and infrastructure as part of a global team of technical operations staff covering all shifts to support continuous monitoring. You will detect issues, respond to alarms, escalate problems, and perform incident management among our various teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor all aspects of the Interactive Brokers brokerage and employee facing systems including:
- Production system processes and services
- Underlying network links and hardware components
- Underlying server nodes and connectivity
- Remote access and telecommunications systems
- Environmental, power & security systems
- Real time processing and file delivery systems
Preferred:
- Experience with IT systems
- Practical (or at minimum, theoretical) knowledge of ITIL
- Experience with Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow
- Candidate must be a technology enthusiast, be proactive, display a sense of vigilance and have a hands-on mentality
