Mortgage Associate

Summary

The Associate, Mortgage is responsible for scanning mortgage files, completing necessary clerical signatures, assigning loans to auditors on a daily basis. Completing other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

• Scan Mortgage files
• Complete necessary clerical signatures
• Assign loans using Excel to auditors on a daily basis
• Proper archiving and retrieval of loan files
• Access Lakewood to verify information matches information and documentation in the file as needed
• Utilize Lakewood for additional data or files needing research
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Some knowledge of Mortgage Industry
• Experience using Excel
• Must be a self-starter, team player and detail oriented
• Able to work in fast paced working environment and work overtime as needed
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to move and store boxes up to 40 lbs.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and solve a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization's exists. Ability to intemperate a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Customer Service Relationships:

Assesses and diffuses problem situations and requires influencing others to reach consensus. Requires tact and diplomacy to handle difficult customer relationships. Explores alternatives and creative solutions to meeting the needs of customers.

Work Complexity:

Tasks are multiple and diverse with some interrelationship across processes. Work requires the direct application of a variety of procedures, policies and/or precedents.

Work Environment:

Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
