Summary
This position is located at Naval Station Norfolk, Norfolk, VA. Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department. The incumbent functions as the assigned driver of assigned commercial vehicles, to include cargo/passenger vans, stake trucks, passenger busses, etc.

Conditions of Employment
- Must pass all applicable records and background check
- Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
- Incumbent must possess and maintain a current valid driver's license, and a state Commercial Driverβs license (CDL) for the state in-which employed, UNLESS the incumbent is an off-duty military member, who must possess a valid government CDL.
Qualifications
Must be thoroughly familiar with vehicle assigned, in order to assess appropriate fitness for travel, tire pressure, fluid levels, etc., to schedule preventative. maintenance, and to identify and report broken or inoperable accessories and/or equipment Must be thoroughly knowledgeable of safety rules and regulations.
Must be able to demonstrate tact and good customer service. Must be able to ensure good order and discipline over a crowd of people and ensure safety procedures and legal requirements are enforced at all times.

This position does not have a positive education requirement.

Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.
