MQ Administrator

Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a MQ Administrator to work for our company.

Summary:

• Client Agency is IRS.
• Must be able to pass IRS Background check (Basic eligibility requirements include: U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history, no recent or pending bankruptcies).  
• The MQ Administrator will manage, configure, and customize IBM WebSphere MQ Series messaging products, administering WebSphere MQ 7.x Server and Client for Windows, Solaris, and Z/OS environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Will collaborate with development teams to support and integrate MQ messaging solutions, troubleshoot issues for high availability, and stay updated on advancements to continuously improve services.

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass IRS Background check (Basic eligibility requirements include: U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history, no recent or pending bankruptcies).  
• Must have 4+ years of experience in working with IBM WebSphere MQ technologies and managing messaging services.
• Must have hands-on experience with AMDAS/MQ Application Configurations Customization of MQ Series messaging product.
• Must have deep experience in configuring, administering, and troubleshooting WebSphere MQ 7.x Server and WebSphere MQ 7.x Client for both Windows and Solaris MQ Services Messaging.
• Must have deep experience working with WebSphere MQ for Z/OS (V7.x) Services Messaging.
• Must have previous experience customizing and configuring MQ Series messaging products to suit enterprise needs.
• Must have excellent problem-solving abilities for resolving complex MQ-related issues.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite in Washington, DC at least 50% of the time.

Preferences:

• Experience with SSL certificate and vault setup and management.
• Familiarity with A-MQ, DataGrid, FSW, and rpmbuilds.
