What You'll Be Doing
As Manufacturing and Quality (MQ) IT System Integrator for Manufacturing Labs, your main function is to design, develop, implement, enhance, and maintain the Lab software applications that help optimize laboratory processes, reduce errors, and increase efficiency, by integrating laboratory operations with business systems and providing strategic guidance on applying right-sized, risk-based approach to system validation. You will play a key role in the implementation and adoption of next generation laboratory systems at site. This role is focused on the Indy API Manufacturing Site.
How You'll Succeed
- You will bring your technical knowledge and experience to design, implement, enhance, and maintain Lab software solutions that integrate laboratory processes with business systems to optimize laboratory efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Must have a strong understanding of corporate computer system validation requirements according to Lilly Quality Standards,
- Must have a combination of technical and soft skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams at the IndyAPI site and drive continuous improvement initiatives within Labs. Represent the IT Lab functional meetings.
- Must conduct testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of Lab solutions at the site to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
- Ensure system upgrades and deployments are communicated and executed effectively.
- Collaborate with the Global MQ Labs IT team to plan and deploy NextGen Lab solutions to the site.
- Ensure the Lab solutions interface appropriately with other manufacturing systems and SAP.
- Must stay up to date with emerging trends in technologies around the Manufacturing labs.
- Ensure documented processes and procedures are in place for all activities to meet quality and compliance standards.
- Leverage an agile mindset and framework for the entire solution lifecycle including designing, implementing, automating, modernizing, maintaining, and optimizing solutions.
- Provide support to Lab systems the site as part of the 24x7 on-call support team.
- Ability to problem solve and work through situations within the Labs. Serve as an escalation contact with global team and vendor(s) when needed.
- Promote and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Establish a strong site culture based in Lilly values, expectations, and operational excellence standards.
What You Should Bring
- Experience with Lab technologies with preferred experience in Empower, Darwin, SmartLab etc.
- Basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) with demonstrated experience in computer system validations efforts.
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and best practices related to application and platforms operating within a S95 Architecture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and articulate complex technical concepts.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to manage and contribute to multiple concurrent activities and adapt to changes in priorities.
- Knowledge of cloud solutions and architecture
- Knowledge of Citrix and other virtualization platforms
- Additional Experience in the following would be preferred but not required:
- SQL databases,
- ERP, MES, or other manufacturing systems interfacing design, development, and/or support.
Your Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- With minimum of 1-2 years' experience/understanding of laboratory systems like Empower, SmartLab, Darwin etc.
OR
- High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years relevant experience working in Manufacturing or Research Labs
