Position Overview
Part of the Operations department, you will serve as the TL market expert for MT account teams. This is a key role that will assist with providing competitive spot quotes, relaying current market conditions and growing TL capacity for supported accounts.
Essential Job Functions
Support MT account teams for all spot TL business.
Spot Market
• Understand current market conditions related to spot TL pricing
• Provide feedback to account teams based on market conditions
• Proficient in use of Clutch/Stats
• Utilize internal (Clutch/Stats) and external (DAT) resources to provide competitive spot quotes
Account Support
• Understand account specific needs and scope to ensure service and pricing expectations
• Develop capacity and relationships with carrier sales to expand account coverage
• Provide market related knowledge to account teams
• Provide load level feedback to account teams
• Assist with finding coverage to service all loads
Communication
• Respond to quote
• requests within five minutes
• Provide feedback to rate approvals within 2 minutes
• Effectively engage MT account teams with carrier sales to ensure all communications are handled with urgency
Technical Understanding
• TL rate, capacity and market expert
• Proficient in use of Clutch, Stats and DAT
Requirements
Qualified candidates will possess the following characteristics and experience:
• Strong background in transportation industry
• 2-4yearswork experience(Carrier Sales preferred)
• Proven performer who is effective at "multi-tasking"
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-managed and motivated
• Enjoys and thrives in fast paced, fluid work environment
• Ability to follow through with tasks to their completion
• Very organized and detail oriented
Work environment/physical demands summary:
This job operates in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office with an open seating floor plan. The employee may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear.
