MTS: Enterprise & Technology Assessments
Job Description
At Aerospace, we are committed to providing an inclusive and diverse workplace for all employees to share in our common passion and aspiration - to carry out a mission much bigger than ourselves.
Member of Technical Staff in the Enterprise and Technology Assessments (ETA) group at the Aerospace Corporation is a role involving a variety of work centering on the production of technical, cost, and schedule assessments and other types of studies for civil and national security space customers. The responsibilities of this role also include the curation and maintenance of a digital repository of related data to facilitate assessments and the presentation of results both internally and externally. The ability to adapt and flex to meet organizational needs is critical for executing this role.
The Enterprise and Technology Assessments (ETA) Department at the Aerospace Corporation provides technical support and assessments to NASA technology programs, and conducts technical risk, cost, and schedule assessments of non-space programs, including large scientific observatories and environmental test facilities.
ETA is seeking a candidate for a Member of Technical Staff position located in El Segundo, CA or Pasadena, CA. A telework position is also possible.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support senior staff on enterprise and technology assessment studies that support NASA, NSF, and DoD customers in agency-level strategic decision making on future ground programs and cutting-edge technology projects.
- Collect, organize, maintain, and curate digital archives of technical and programmatic data on ground systems.
- Contribute to technical analyses related to programmatic cost and schedule analyses of space and ground systems, applying technical expertise and writing skills.
- Synthesize analysis, present findings, and produce written reports for presentation to senior staff and customers.

- Ability to work with multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills for developing and maintaining business relationships with new and existing customers
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US Government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

- 5 or more years of work experience in engineering or a scientific field
- Experience working with US Government agencies, such as DoD, NASA, NSF, or DOE.
- Additional degrees, certifications, or proven expertise in areas such as mechanical design, cost estimation, and/or information technology
- Experience in cross disciplinary activities and the ability to be adaptable, leveraging experience and expertise to take on new tasking that may be somewhat outside of one's domain
