Our Digital Technology organization has a rare opportunity for a Multi-Function Device Principal Specialist who has a proven track record for overseeing in-scope equipment at companies that have highly regulated, complex and heterogeneous environments!

The role will involve planning, scoping, overseeing and generally managing the day-to-day activities for enterprise printers and multi-function (combined print/scan/FAX) devices. This will involve close interaction with vendor partners that will build, manage and operate the multi-function devices, Pratt Facilities teams where they are placed, and Pratt Security that enables access controls for the devices. While many of the actor roles will be performed by sourcing partners, the Multi-Function Device Principal Specialist will ensure that all relevant procedures are followed, routine maintenance schedules are adhered to, billing reviews conducted, maintenance requests are filed and completed and that device life cycles are managed. This position will assist in the vendor management for hosting facilities preventative maintenance contracting and scheduling as well.

The preferred candidate for this position will come with demonstrated experience and accomplishment for overseeing enterprise printers and multi-function devices along with the myriad supporting technologies and components that are required for professional print device management and oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform printer and multi-function device activities with accuracy and in a timely manner
  • Maintain complete and accurate inventory of deployed devices
  • Schedule repair and maintenance services to and oversee the implementation of recommend improvements
  • Document and report equipment failures and schedule and insure remediation
  • Deliver monthly reporting for the device inventory and related expense. This is to include clear visibility into changes from the prior reporting period
  • Technical action lead for high severity business impacting Incidents
  • Produce and maintain required printer and multi-function device documentation for:
  • Device standards, required configuration and controls
  • Reporting for 7x24 emergency and after hours break fix activities
  • Equipment refresh schedules
  • Monthly usage metrics
  • Providing guidance for requests for certain devices and playing the role of first-line approver for requests that should move forward

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience (4 years of additional prior relevant experience), and 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise printers and multi-function devices that includes a working level understanding of modern enterprise printers and multi-function equipment; OR an Advanced Degree and 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise printers and multi-function devices that includes a working level understanding of modern enterprise printers and multi-function equipment
  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts

  • Proven track record of achieving results working through outsourced vendor partners
  • Proven troubleshooting skills with ability to independently research and resolve problems
  • Ability to perform pro-actively and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain high quality of work while supporting multiple activities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written) with the ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences
  • Strong decision-making skills - ability to make decisions quickly and efficiently
  • Proven competency to effectively interact at all levels across the organization, working to build and maintain successful relationships across all departments
  • Proven consultative, conflict resolution, negotiation, and facilitation skills to gain consensus and ensure delivery of initiatives
  • Demonstrated flexibility and be able to work in a time-sensitive environment and meet strict deadlines with sudden and unpredictable changes that may occur
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, who sets high standards for self and others and demonstrates enthusiasm for the mission of the team
  • High proficiency with printer, multi-function and other devices and preventive maintenance requirements
  • Bias for action for identifying, tracking and remediating deficiencies
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Experience raising continuous improvement opportunities and initiating action on those approved
