Digital Communications Team
Springfield, MA
Full-Time - Hybrid (3 days/week in office)
The Opportunity:
As a multimedia designer on the Digital Communications team, you will use a combination of design and organization skills to deliver best-in-class internal communications to employees. You'll partner with communications consultants to bring articles and presentations to life with visual elements. The ability to bring a creative and proactive approach to content design, while working within brand guidelines, and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders will position you for success in this role.
The Team:
The Digital Communications team is part of the Strategic Communications organization. We are a small team of technical and creative experts who help turn written communications into well-designed, published materials on various internal digital channels (intranet, digital signs, email).

We enjoy partnering with our colleagues who plan and write communications to understand their goals and help bring their work to life. We bring our expertise to the table and offer advice and input to make our communications beautiful, engaging, inclusive and effective.
The Impact:
As a multimedia designer on the Digital Communications team, you will:
- Select imagery and icons, and create well-designed homepage graphics, web page layouts, emails, presentations, slideshows, infographics, and digital signage.
- Use your organizational skills to keep track of your workload and design requests in our project management system.
- Stay in sync with the editorial coordinator, ensuring that the weekly calendar of articles and other communications has the images needed selected, sized and ready to go.
- Demonstrate an ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining your attention to detail.
- Demonstrate a wide-ranging skill set that includes image selection and manipulation, PowerPoint presentation layout and animation, icon/graphic production, video editing and page layout.
- Make edits in our content management system, adding images to web pages as needed.
- Ensure design consistency and quality across multiple channels.
- Provide design input and guidance on small and large projects as requested.
- Perform creative concept development through brainstorming and idea generation. Understand and visually interpret complex business concepts to develop innovative, creative, and results-oriented communications deliverables.
- Be willing to learn new tools and technologies to support communications channels.
- Have a desire to maintain relevancy in the field by monitoring visual design and digital trends, and emerging technology and usability trends.
The Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with focus on graphic design or a related design focus.
- 3+ years professional experience in a design role.
- 1+ years of experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver
- 1+ years of experience with HTML/CSS
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products for documentation, scheduling, and communication (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
The Ideal Qualifications:
- 5+ year of professional experience in a design role
- 1+ years of experience with Adobe Premiere
- Experience in financial services or a similar corporate environment.
- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Figma and Adobe Animate
- Understanding of basic accessibility best practices as they pertain to digital design.
- Experience with content management systems.
- Familiarity with responsive design
- Video/animation/motion graphic experience.
- Usability research experience

Salary Range: $92,800.00-$121,800.00
