About N7

In 2000, Sam McCracken had a business idea to provide access to Nike products directly to Native American tribes to support health promotion and disease prevention programs. Seven years later, the Nike design team collaborated with various community experts and tribal leaders to create footwear specifically for the Native American community, called Nike Air Native N7. All proceeds from the Air Native N7 (sold through Native American community centers and tribes) are given back to youth sport and physical activity programs in Native communities across North America through the N7 Fund.

Sam McCracken, General Manager & Visionary of Nike N7 is looking for a student passionate about Native American Culture and Communities for this upcoming 2023 summer internship. The N7 team is a very special team with a specific and powerful mission! The ideal candidate should be passionate about Nike and the N7 mission and have a deep interest in community involvement.

As the N7 Intern, you will enable the team to launch, communicate, evaluate and deliver N7 projects and initiatives that support our mission. Tasks you may be involved with are scheduling, budgeting, organizing materials and communications, such as, handling information flow from your manager to other stakeholders, clients, or employees. You will be involved in meetings with our stakeholders and asked to follow up with vital parties who are assigned any responsibilities. Your insights will help craft the N7 strategy and drive engagement from our community.

Qualifications:

• Current undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's or co-term master's degree with a graduation date of Winter '23 or Spring '24
• Experience leading projects and/or people
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational, planning, and presentation skills

• Ability to successfully navigate ambiguity, especially while working within a team
• Detail oriented & results oriented
• Self-starter that can thrive in a fast-paced, agile culture
• Volunteer experience in the community
• A sense of curiosity and desire to push yourself to learn, expand and grow

• Passion for the N7 brand and sports in general
• Possess an understanding of the Indigenous community
• Experience with and a passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is a plus
• Analytical skills and working with data is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• GPA of 3.0 or higher
