Job Description
The Industry Lead collaborates with the Industry Director to develop, communicate, and drive the Semi-Conductor strategy for North America aligned with the Company's global strategy to bring the Connected Enterprise to Life.
The Industry Lead assures continued sales growth of core products and services and increasing market share in the Semi-Conductor Industry while identifying further growth opportunities including the identification of future technology and service's needs. The position is responsible for developing and driving the Rockwell Automation digital transformation value proposition leading the adoption of software, connected services, consulting, solutions, and annuity business model.
Responsibilities also include providing the necessary leadership essential to grow the business including market analysis based on industry insights, client-facing business development, sales enablement, and go to market strategy for the Semi-Conductor Industry.
What You'll Do:
Industry Insights and Strategy
- Coordinates the execution of strategic initiative and industry ecosystem plans with the North American sales region and company business units.
- Stays abreast of industry trends and insights. Evaluates participation in relevant industry trade events.
- Provides industry thought leadership and is viewed as a trusted advisor both internally and externally.
- Works cross functionally with marketing, sales leadership, and the global industry account team to implement key strategic growth initiatives and priorities for the Tire industry.
- Develops and communicates the Business Strategy Review (BSR) and Sales Execution Plan for the Semi-Conductor Industry.
Business Development
- Works collaboratively with geographic sales fostering a cadence of communication, opportunity/account planning and sales development activities impacting industry strategy. Contributes during the sales process through:
- Providing application knowledge
- Providing knowledge of the industry and customer needs
- Providing knowledge of processes involved in pursuit of complex orders.
- Actively engaging with clients and leading the North American pursuit strategy for global greenfield and brownfield investments in collaboration with stakeholders around the world.
- Ensures knowledge of company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g., health, safety, quality and environmental).
Technology and Innovation
- Experience in enterprise digital transformation
- Industry-led and customer-centered strategic solution mindset
- Knowledge of technology, solutions, and services in the automation market with an emphasis on IT/OT convergence
- Knowledge of IoT edge and cloud-based solutions, predictive analytics, and digital solutions
- Customer obsessed mindset with a focus on industry needs and what value can be delivered through a Rockwell Automation solution.
- Awareness of competitors in the industry.
- Works collaboratively to provide feedback for future technology and services needs to the appropriate business units.
Sales Enablement
- Identifies and communicates the Definition of Winning for the industry ecosystem to achieve accelerated market growth.
- Facilitates and educates the industry ecosystem community within Rockwell Automation by leading the North American industry affinity team.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years or relevant work experience
- Valid driver's license.
- Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Ability to travel ~40% of time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Typically requires 8+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or operations in the Automation, Technology, or Digital Transformation field.
- 5+ more years in the Semi-Conductor Industry. Multi-billion-dollar, global customer or services provider is preferred.
- Ability to sell and influence a large territory through digital technologies.
- Experience in business and digital transformation
- Experience working at a software company or industrial competitor within their software business.
- Knowledge of technology, solutions, and services in the automation market with an emphasis on IT/OT convergence
- Knowledge of IoT edge and cloud-based solutions, predictive analytics, and digital solutions
- Industry-led and customer-centered strategic solution mindset
- Strong strategic focus with continuous improvement mindset
- Resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
- Ability to work with and gain confidence of senior level personnel (internal and external) in a highly collaborative, matrixed stakeholder organization.
- Previous global sales experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of various channels to market and how each one operates.

This is a summary of the position's responsibilities and does not reflect the entire scope of work expectations.
The total target compensation range for this role in Colorado, California, Washington State and New York City is $132,000 to $248,400 which 80% is base and 20% is variable.
