The Nail Artist is responsible for staying abreast of all Spa events and offerings, as well as industry trends. We are looking to add a Nail Technician to ensure our members and guests receive a warm, friendly, and professional interaction on every visit. As a Nail Technician, you will provide manicures, pedicures, and other related services while ensuring the proper sterilization practices are followed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
• Deliver a high level of hospitality & integrity, while providing a world-class experience, to help our members live well.
• Treat members, guests & employees with fairness, integrity, positivity, and consistency.
• Ensure a positive client experience at all contact points.
• Deliver consistent, professional services which may include but not be limited to: warm greeting, beverage offering, initial consultation to ascertain client's wants and needs, confirming comfort levels, showing interest in the client, assist with polish selection (if applicable), cleaning, trimming, shaping, buffing, and painting nails and cuticles, utilization of emery boards, clippers, and other tools and equipment required, removal of old polish, acrylics or gels, and hand/foot/leg massages with paraffin treatments as booked.
• Discuss any concerns, medical conditions, and preferences prior to beginning service
• Maintain proper sterilization, sanitization, and sanitation of tools and equipment used.
• Assist in the upkeep of cleanliness standards throughout shift of designated station(s).
• Stocking all nail supplies necessary within work station as well as for the overall Spa when needed.
• Thorough understanding of the opening and closing procedures.
• Thorough understanding of all services offered in the Span & Salon, with an emphasis on hand/foot services to ensure consistent execution.
• Build and maintain clientele, to ensure strong retention rates.
• Provide feedback to the Manager/Director on industry trends.
• Attend trainings and meetings as scheduled.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid IL Nail Tech License.
• 3 years of nail technician experience.
• Experience with natural and artificial nail art techniques & gel nails like Apres Gel X, preferred.
• Ability to work well with others under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.
• Schedule flexibility. Must be available to work weekends.
• Great communication skills with the ability to handle difficult situations and problem-solving with solid judgment.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to sit or stand for sustained periods of time.
• Ability to make movements with fingers, hands, wrists, and arms.
• Ability to grasp and reach, sometimes above shoulder level.
• Ability to stoop, kneel and crouch.
• Prior hospitality experience is highly desired.
