We have an opportunity for a remote NationalAccount Manager on our AMA Insurance team.
As a NationalAccount Manager you will develop and direct a new business segment focused on selling professionalliability insurance to physicians and physician groups, through employinginternal sales and marketing resources, and b) establish alliances withinsurance carriers, agents, select broker networks, and marketingorganizations. Provide reporting,establish and manage required sales processes, design and implement marketingprograms within the channel, and represent the Agency as its front-line contactin the market for this line of coverage.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop strategy to distributeprofessional liability insurance
- Create strategic sales & marketing plans to implement and annually build AMAI's book of business.
- Create a customer support model for new product line
- Develop business processes within the Agency.
- Created proposals for new business opportunities that included pricing models based on client needs and objectives.
- Monitor and identify market trends for new sales leads and establish product pipeline for new products.
- Cultivate and support sales opportunities within the channel and build customer relationships with physicians, groups, institutions, and third-party (i.e., brokers).
- Secure and present appropriate proposals to all decision-makers (s) within the channel, including direct clients and third parties.
- Work with AMAI's Marketing Team to develop and implement various marketing initiatives to help promote and sell the products.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales and provide recommendations to Agency and our partners; effectively implement these changes to improve results (i.e., streamlined processing, reduced costs, or reduced cycle times).
- Gather, analyze, and track appropriate metrics to monitor performance and provide timely updates to management. Develop action plans to counter any significant variances against metrics that are underperforming.
- Oversee all aspects of product line including marketing, administration, training, distribution, and compliance.
Create cross-selling opportunities for other Agency products &services
- Develop strategic sales & marketing initiatives to support the sale of other AMAI products to physicians, groups, and institutions, as applicable.
- Work through third-party brokers and other key partners to help identify opportunities to launch, market, and sell other AMAI new products.
- Provide overall distribution support, coordination, and management for all related cross-selling opportunities.
- Create and track appropriate metrics to monitor performance and provide updates to management as requested or needed.
- Conduct training on new and existing products.
Support other Agency-related initiatives as needed
- Collaborate with AMAI and/or AMA internal and external stakeholders on various initiatives from time to time, as needed or requested.
May include other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in management or business administration required. Technical coursework in CLU, ChFC, FLMI desirable.
- Minimum of 7+ years successful experience in a consultative selling environment; or other proven sales experience within the physician market. Candidate should be able to demonstrate the use of a sales communication style that engages customers in a collaborative discussion that results in value to both parties.
- Demonstrated knowledge with life, disability, long-term care and/or liability insurance products offered to the medical community required.
- Must be licensed and appointed in accordance with insurance laws and regulations in the state(s) of operation as defined by the Agency.
- Prior experience managing channels and demonstrate the ability to develop, support, and orchestrate third parties (i.e., distributors) to optimize sales coverage and revenue production. Must also demonstrate the political savvy required to identify and align with influential customer contacts.
- Strong listening skills are required; as well as superior sales/customer service skills, and excellent relationship management skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to foster a positive team environment. Must have effective influence skills to gain support, collaboration, and commitment from partners, colleagues, and managers; and provide team members with information and lead-time needed to be effective.
- Excellent written and verbal skills required. Ability to present solutions in an engaging manner and have the ability to convey business concepts in a concise and compelling written format.
- Solid financial acumen required to understand impact of decisions made on behalf of Agency including the ability to creatively use financial tools, models, and concepts.
- Must be willing to travel
