Position Purpose:

The Account Specialist is a tenured professional who has the proven ability to manage customer relationships at the manager and executive level within small to mid-size regional National accounts. They will represent the full portfolio of Stericycle regulated waste solutions to include multiple waste streams solutions which address sustainability, compliance, and efficiency needs of corporate stakeholders, local service providers, and patients/customers. This role is the ultimate owner of Stericycle's relationships with existing mid-size regional account customers, providing exceptional account management and solutions to meet customer needs. They are responsible for the profitable growth and retention of their assigned books of business. Accounts managed by this role are typically small to mid-size regional accounts with locations across the US.

The Account Specialist will manage IN, OH, KY, MD, MI and IL.

Key Job Activities:

• Manage assigned regional accounts with multiple service lines.• Manage and develop existing accounts to retain and improve profitability, manage renewals, position for additional services, and ensure customer satisfaction.• Collaborate with key departments to effectively manage assigned accounts and position for continued growth.• Grow accounts to identify and develop relationships with all key stakeholders and decision makers.• Consistently position Stericycle as the industry leader and best solution provider.• Act as a Trusted Advisor through a consultative sales approach supported by industry and regulatory knowledge and utilization of our network of resources.• Facilitate effective customer communication, including formal presentations, conversations, active listening, and follow up.• Enter and maintain accurate information in Salesforce.com and follow pipeline guidelines and expectations.• Formulates strategies to retain customers where revenue may be decreasing by using "out of the box" type thinking. Partner with the Pricing Desk and Operations team on retention, customer issues and concerns. Debrief on any service issues with SM, Operations Manager, and CSRs, as required

Education:

Preferred Education: in Bachelors or Equivalent

Experience (North America & LATAM):

  • Education equivalent to Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Management, or other related field, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating a proven track record of sales for products in similar industry.
  • Two or more years of direct and indirect sales experience with a focus on account management, business development and/or emerging markets, or the equivalent in related work experience.
  • Healthcare/Hospital experience preferred
