Come join our team as the National Account Leader (NAL) for Seeds. This position leads a team of Seed Account Managers (AM), who are responsible for the management and growth of retail accounts selling Brevant Seeds in the Cornbelt and Pioneer and Phytogen Seeds in the Mid-South and Southeast US areas. This team works with the corporate and regional management team of these large, multi-outlet retailers. This position is also responsible to accelerate the growth of National/Regional retail organizations by building relationships with key leaders and influencers, leading sales team and coordinating multi-brand Corteva Seeds efforts across the geographies they service. This position reports directly to the VP-National Accounts. Location: The preferred location for this position is Indianapolis, IN; however, other locations will be considered. What You'll Do:

  • Lead and develop a high performing team
  • Achieve sales goals with assigned companies.
  • Develop relationship with distribution headquarters and region personnel
  • Lead Corteva's go-to market strategy with identified retailers
  • Actively promote the Retail and grower benefits of marketing programs and provide feedback to marketing on customer response
  • Keep abreast of regional market trends, customer needs, competitive products, programs and pricing structures and provide ongoing feedback to sales and marketing teams
  • Manage expense budgets, flex fund budgets and marketing programs with fiduciary and ethical responsibility
  • Provide timely product forecasts for the assigned accounts through an understanding of local customer needs, working with reselling dealers and collaboration with local agronomists on current and new products in the portfolio
  • Conduct business in a safe and ethical manner.
  • Maintain company vehicle and records properly, maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Work collaboratively with internal Brevant and Pioneer/Phytogen sales teams for driving sales results and establishing strong relationships.

Qualifications

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required. Relevant disciplines: agronomy, agriculture, business, biology or related sciences field
  • 10 or more years of agriculture sales experience within the ag chemical and/or seed industry is required
  • Eight or more years of experience in sales, marketing and or finance background.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team selling approach
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills - deadline oriented
  • Demonstrates financial aptitude
  • Understands business and entrepreneurial skills and interests
  • Strong one-on-one and group presentation skills
  • Demonstrates leadership and teamwork
  • Proficiency in computer technology
  • Comfortable with risk; accepts individual responsibility and accountability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintains a valid driver's license and a safe driving record
  • Willingness to travel overnight 40% of work time.
