Job Summary

The National Accounts Manager is responsible for developing new and existing relationships with Key Accounts to include Broker Dealers, Banks, and RIAs, and will provide equal level of pro-active, high-end support to the National Account VPs and key accounts. 

This position reports to the SVP, IMO Annuity Distribution, and will collaborate with our National Account VPs, Regional Directors, and FI Channel Leadership to uncover new distribution opportunities for F&G.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engage with our IMO Power Partners to learn more about the distribution channels they operate in
  • Educate our Key Partners on the products we offer across our IMO and FI Channels
  • Discover which Power Partners have expertise in working with small to mid-size Independent Broker Dealers and RIAs
  • Look for opportunities to grow our Broker Dealer sales by analyzing the competitive landscape to determine which F&G products would fit best at each BD
  • Utilize a channel-agnostic approach in your discovery process, ensuring that we offer the solutions that each potential distributor values most
  • Partner with NAVP in either IMO or Financial Institutions Channel once research is complete
  • Determine if the opportunity will be OBA or require a selling agreement
  • Survey technology needs of each potential distributor to ensure compatibility with F&G
  • Assist with onboarding and pre-launch activities for each opportunity
  • Attend IMO and/or BD meetings and conferences as requested
  • Meet or exceed annual sales plan
  • Build relationships at all levels of each IMO Partner (Principals, Marketers, Back Office)

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in Business or Marketing.
  • Industry recognized designation preferred such as RICP, CLU, ChFC or CFP.
  • 3+ years of key account management experience in Brokers Dealers, Banks, or RIAs
  • Demonstrated success in sales and/or marketing functions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong project management, organization and follow up skills
  • Insurance industry knowledge
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships within the organization and with key accounts
  • Strong PC skills

Other Requirements

  • Perform other functions, duties and projects as assigned
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Approximately 50% travel is required
