Job Summary
The National Accounts Manager is responsible for supporting the development of new and existing relationships with Key Accounts to include Broker Dealers, Banks, and RIAs, and will provide pro-active, high-end support to the National Account VP (NAVP) and Key Account Partners.
This position reports directly to the National Account VP, and indirectly to the SVP, Financial Institutions Channel. This position will collaborate with our National Account VPs, Regional Vice Presidents, and FI Channel Leadership to uncover new distribution opportunities for F&G.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support NAVP with existing Key Accounts by providing issue resolution and specific Key Accounts requests
- Manage Key Accounts Sales Reporting to NAVP and FI Channel Leadership
- Manage RFP/RFI/Due Diligence process in conjunction with NAVP and F&G Retail Operations Team
- Manage communications with Key Accounts under guidance of NAVP
- Create quarterly reports inclusive of services/sales reports for delivery to our external partners and of reports used to analyze firms internally
- Conduct in-person and virtual website demos, illustration and product training
- Manage marketing materials submission, approval and retention process and engage with F&G Marketing and Key Accounts to ensure needs are met (directly or through 4U)
- Leverage SalesForce to initiate and track sales campaigns, marketing initiatives and to provide sales intelligence to VPNA, RVPs, and FI Channel Management (new producers, ‘fallen angels’, MIAs)
- Submit Conference Request Forms to F&G Events Team and travel to conferences as needed
- Work closely with wholesaling team to determine territory needs and share Key Account data sets
- Cultivate relationships with Key Account contacts and internal F&G Stakeholders.
- Travel as needed to Key Account with and without NAVP (and manage smaller Key Account relationships where required).
- Look for opportunities to grow F&G sales by analyzing the competitive landscape to determine which F&G products would fit best at each Key Account
- Survey technology needs of each potential Key Account to ensure compatibility with F&G
- Assist with onboarding and pre-launch activities for each Key Account opportunity
- Meet or exceed annual sales plan across Key Accounts and the FI Channel
Experience and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required preferably in Business or Marketing.
- Industry recognized designation preferred such as RICP, CLU, ChFC or CFP.
- 3+ years of key account management experience in Brokers Dealers, Banks, or RIAs
- Demonstrated success in sales and/or marketing functions.
- Series 6, 63 and State Insurance License
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong project management, organization and follow up skills
- Insurance industry knowledge
- Ability to foster effective working relationships within the organization and with Key Accounts
- Strong PC skills and familiarity with SalesForce and other Financial Services technology
Other Requirements
- Perform other functions, duties and projects as assigned
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Demonstrated ability to work within a home office environment while virtually located
- Approximately 50% travel is required
