As the National Safety Advisor, you will be at the forefront of our mission to cultivate a strong and proactive safety culture. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our employees can perform their duties in a safe and supportive environment. You will be instrumental in continuously improving our Safety Management System, shaping our safety strategies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and fostering an environment where safety is ingrained in every action we take.

How you’ll Energize Safety:

Maintain and Ensure Compliance: You will oversee and maintain our Safety Management System, ensuring strict adherence to Club Assist standards and relevant legislation. Your expertise will help us navigate the complexities of safety regulations and maintain our commitment to a safe working environment.

Support Safety Goals: Aligning operational and business objectives with our strategic goals, you will play a crucial role in elevating our overall safety performance. Your insights will help us achieve our vision of safety excellence. Travelling nationally, you will conduct regular site inspections, audits and deliver training in all states to ensure that our safety standards are consistently upheld across all national operations.

Incident Investigation & Injury Management: Your analytical skills will be essential in helping managers and supervisors conduct thorough incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventative measures for continuous improvement. You will act as the liaison between Club Assist and our injury management provider, ensuring all cases are tracked and progressing smoothly.

Building Trusted Relationships: You will collaborate with all areas of the business to influence behaviours and shape our safety culture, partnering with managers to reset standards and drive best practice by challenging constructively. Your approach will be tenacious yet influential and engaging, with the ability to empathize. You will address behaviours as they arise, work well in a team, and excel as a collaborator.

What you’ll bring:

As an influential Health & Safety Advisor, you can expertly balance tactical and operational responsibilities, driving our safety agenda forward. Your proactive and driven approach, combined with your enthusiasm for engaging with colleagues to solve problems, highlights your active involvement and sets you apart as a true achiever.

You will bring a minimum of three years of proven experience in managing and implementing work health and safety initiatives within a multi-site national organization. Your deep understanding of Workplace Health & Safety legislation, Codes of Practice, and Australian Standards will be essential.

You possess excellent engagement, communication, and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels, along with highly developed analytical, conceptual, and written communication abilities.

It's not a deal-breaker, but a qualification in WHS and Injury Management experience would be a bonus
