This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a National Safety Director in the United States.

This senior leadership role is responsible for building and sustaining a strong, organization-wide safety culture across a multi-state home services business undergoing rapid growth and expansion. You will design and implement safety strategies that reduce risk, improve compliance, and enhance operational performance across geographically distributed teams. The role requires a proactive leader who can influence behavior at all levels, from field technicians to senior management, while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. You will oversee safety training, incident investigation, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen both performance and accountability. Acting as a key driver of cultural transformation, you will develop programs that improve awareness, engagement, and long-term safety outcomes. This position involves significant field interaction and travel, supporting operational teams across multiple states in the U.S.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead the development and execution of national safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and the continuous improvement of safety culture across all operations.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide safety policies, procedures, and training programs
  • Lead safety culture initiatives focused on engagement, education, and behavioral change across all locations
  • Conduct incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations
  • Monitor safety performance metrics, track incidents, and report findings to senior leadership
  • Design and deliver safety training programs, including equipment use, PPE, and field safety practices
  • Oversee injury reporting, accident analysis, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Participate in safety governance activities, including collaboration with national safety committees
  • Support fleet safety oversight, including maintenance standards and operational risk reduction
  • Respond to regulatory inquiries, inspections, and safety-related compliance matters
  • Requirements:

    This role requires extensive safety leadership experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to influence and manage safety practices across distributed field operations.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or equivalent experience
    • 4+ years of experience leading or implementing safety programs in multi-site or field-based environments
    • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and safety compliance requirements
    • Experience managing safety for geographically distributed teams or field service operations
    • Proven ability to reduce risk and improve safety performance through structured programs
    • Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
    • Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective action plans
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting/recordkeeping tools
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
    • Ability to travel up to 50% and provide occasional after-hours support
