National Sales Director
Job Description
The National Sales Director will be an integral part of the sales team focused on growing the market share of Equify Financial by aligning the sales organization's objectives and operations with firm business strategy through active participation and collaboration in strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting. This role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective sales organization design, including sales job roles, sales channel design, and sales resource deployment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Aligns the sales organization's objectives and operations with firm business strategy through active participation and collaboration in strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting.
- Establishes, communicates, and implements operational policies, practices, standards, and other initiatives to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
- Accountable for effective sales organization design, including sales job roles, sales channel design, and sales resource deployment.
- Establishes and prioritizes critical performance measures for all sales roles and ensuring all key sales and sales management associates are held accountable for assigned results.
- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.
- Leads learning and development initiatives impacting the sales organization and provides stewardship of sales and sales management talent.
- Monitors the market and competitor products and activities and provides detailed sales forecasting.
- Reviews customer activity, anticipates needs, and acts when needed to improve customer satisfaction.
- Gathers financial data for analysis and forecasting with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance.
- Coordinates the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly reports.
Skills and Proficiencies:
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills, proven track record of leading sales team growth.
- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the commercial finance and equipment lending industries.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field, Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of sales leadership experience in a commercial lending or business to business sales environment.
- Minimum of five (5) years of operations experience in a commercial lending or other financial business.
- Familiarity with financial products and product lines, specifically in the asset based lending industry.
Other Requirements:
Up to 60% travel may be required.
