National Sales Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Set Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Sales Goals for Outside Salespeople
- Gross Profit $
- Gross Profit %
- New Accounts
- Build Goals into Phocas
- Review Performance Monthly
- One-on-ones with each salesperson
- Report to Regional Sales and Marketing Managers on the salespeople in their regions
- Interview and hiring of New Salespeople
- Monitor Sales training on New Salespeople
- Champion new Technology for the Sales Team
- CRM/BI
- Web-based ordering
- Work with our Independent Consultants to organize Sales Training events
- Certified Action
- Franklin Covey
- Dale Carnegie
- Develop Campaigns to Drive Specific Products/Programs/Initiatives
- Coordinate with Marketing for Support Materials
- Track Individual performance
- Visit each Salesperson's Top 5 Accounts at least once per year
- Organize Factory Training/Visits for Salesforce and Customers
- Participate in Trade Show Planning Committee
- Plan Sales Meeting Agenda
- Serve as Leader at Sales Meetings
Requirements
- Identifying potential dealers who qualify to become part of our branded programs with the help of the branch managers and salespeople
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Prospecting, qualifying and closing on these dealer prospects
- Following up on training, on boarding, goal-setting and accountability
- Ability to travel and be on the road at least 3 days a week
- MUST have water treatment sales experience, either on the dealer, OEM or manufacturer level
- Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets
- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
- Negotiate and close agreements with large customers
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
- Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
- Proven work experience as a National sales manager
- Experience managing a high performance sales team
- Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics
- Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
- Strong communication and team management skills
- Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Communication and team management skills are also essential for this position.
