Natural Gas Scheduler

Castleton Commodities International is hiring a Natural Gas Scheduler in our Stamford, CT office. This position will support the scheduling requirements for the Company's natural gas and energy management services activities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a best-in-class commodity merchant that provides significant exposure to the physical natural gas and power commercial teams.

Responsibilities:

• Performing gas scheduling functions related to accurate and timely pipeline nominations.
• Trade execution according to those strategies for the portfolio of assts under management, generation and transportation assets.
• Utilizing electronic bulletin boards to schedule product movement; monitoring and communicating pipeline operational information postings
• Monitoring and resolving volumetric discrepancies; monitoring and communicating producer supply changes.
• Managing pipeline imbalances and optimizing pipeline capacities.
• Communication with internal and external energy management clients.
• Entering and managing nomination data in an internal accounting system.
• Communicating pipeline tariff rate changes.
• Reviewing and approving pipeline transportation and storage invoices.
• Acting as a liaison with settlements team on pipeline and storage invoice reconciliation as well as other duties as assigned or required.
• This position requires working before/after regular office hours including some work on holidays and/or weekends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years progressive experience scheduling natural gas is preferred.
• Prior experience scheduling Northeast pipes strongly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of natural gas grid, gas flow, and transport segmentation.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
