Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Federal Project Manager, we will count on you to:

  • Plan and manage all aspects of small to large, design-build and design-bid-build federal projects with a high degree of technical complexity and involving a multi-discipline staff
  • Independently review project scopes/statements of work and develop client fee proposals, schedules, and budgets
  • Establish and foster client relations and be involved with marketing, strategic planning, proposal development, and new client development
  • Lead meetings with various governing agencies for charrettes, design reviews, and scoping
  • Monitor multi-discipline design teams for progress, project cost, budget adherence, and schedule
  • Communicate project status with clients and work with them to resolve project conflicts, review comments, performance, budget, and scope issues
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-upon schedule and budget
  • Work with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and with company management as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture
  • 10+ years related experience
  • PE or RA license
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Exceptional candidates will be self-motivated, well organized, and detail-oriented with the flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional candidates will have a familiarity with federal clients, terminology, and procedures
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master' degree preferred
