PURPOSE: This position is responsible for providing solutions to improve processes and solve technical network issues. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, customer service, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)
- The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and possesses initiative to learn new networking technologies. In addition, has a drive for continuous improvement activities and process creation.
- The candidate works independently on projects, issues, and tasks. Also collaborates with team members, contractors, and vendors.
- The candidate is knowledgeable about Cisco route/switch and one or more of the following disciplines: wireless networking, network automation, SD-WAN, OT/IOT networking, security, Voice over IP.
- The candidate supports the Lincoln Electric customer, ensuring smooth networking operations and maintenance. In addition, interacts with customers in resolving technical problems as they arise.
- The candidate maintains network inventory, using Solar Winds monitoring and alerting tools.
- The candidate participates in project teams, comprised of IT technical experts and business representatives. Represents the networking team in all facets of the project.
- The candidate is willing to travel as necessary to assist in new site acquisition activities, or new facility expansions.
- The candidate assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or equivalent relevant experience
- 0 - 2+ years of experience in supporting and designing Enterprise network environments
- Ability to design, implement, and support Cisco, Palo Alto, and/or Silverpeak SD-WAN technologies
- Highly motivated, self-starter, customer centric, and the ability to work without supervision
- Demonstrates flexibility in responding to unexpected demands. Contributes willingly during emergencies and other necessary situations during and/or after regular work hours. This position requires night and weekend work along with on-call
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge in network automation and scripting is a plus
