Network Administrator

Strategic Data Systems is seeking a Network Administrator to support NSWC Panama City Division RTD&E. The Network Administrator will utilize network management tools for testing and monitoring network performance of the DoD networks in a Cisco environment.

This position is subject to contract award in early 2025

Duties/Skills

• Extensive knowledge of, and experience with, hardware and software products, in particular Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) firewalls
• Strong organizational, communication, and managerial skills 
• Ability to initiate and manage a project from inception to completion
• Ability to troubleshoot problems, conducts research, and to learn and propose new technology solutions
• Experience with Web Services and Public Key Infrastructure/ Secure Sockets Layer (PKI/SSL), Network IA suite management, Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Domain Name Server (DNS), Host-Based Security Systems (HBSS), Network Access Control (NAC), log management, and Cisco switch configuration and management.
• Experience with installing, troubleshooting, and optimizing wireless networks

Desired Certifications

• CompTIA Security+ Required
• CCNA Desired
• CCNP Desired
