Job Title: Network Engineer

Department: Information Technology

Location: Remote (Los Angeles)

Description of Role: As the backbone of the flow of information in and out of the firm, the network engineer will play a crucial role in helping maintain and evolve the firm's IT infrastructure.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Expertise in network infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Experience with network security technologies and protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection, VPNs, and network access control services.
• Identify and remediate network bottlenecks and other issues.
• Implement and enforce security best practices to protect our networks and infrastructure.
• Proficient communication, planning, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organization skills.
• Maintain IT Infrastructure with System Administrator (Security, Storage, and VMware environment).
• Apply upgrades and security patches to all network devices.
• Create and maintain comprehensive knowledge bases for system documentation, including standard operating procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
• Evaluate and recommend new solutions, tools, and methodologies to enhance network efficiency, security, and productivity.
• Attention to detail.
• Must be proactive and responsive.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in network administration.
• Any certifications in industry-relevant technologies would add a lot of credibility (Ex: CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, PCNSA, PCNSE).

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Detail-oriented and ability to multitask.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols.
• Firewall, Switch, and WAP Management (Cisco, SonicWall, Palo Alto, etc....).
• Experience with IDS and VPN Technologies.
