Network Administrator

Job Description

BITCO Corporation is currently seeking a Network Administrator to join our Home Office team in Davenport, IA. BITCO provides quality insurance services to special industries including construction, forest products, and oil gas. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

Position Summary:

As part of the IT Operations team, this position ensures the reliable operations, stability, and integrity of our network infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify areas for improvement and recommend enhancements
• Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPN Gateways, Wireless Access Points (WAPs) including SIEM and IAM integration
• Maintain voice services, including dial plans, calling features, voice mail, contact center, and voice integrations with Web Conferencing solutions
• Build and maintain network services in the Azure Cloud
• Facilitate the operation and environment of our network infrastructure
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures
• Suggest network configuration improvements and optimal installations
• Develop network security policies and procedures to ensure the company complies with audit requirements
• Document network design and configuration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust network architecture
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network administrators
• Foster a collaborative learning environment within the team
• Coordinates with appropriate personnel to verify effectiveness of security policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field is preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience within Information Technology, specifically network administration
• Cloud, SDWAN, ZTNA and/or NGFW experience is a plus
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
