The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution - from technologies and investments to supply chain, manufacturing and test operations, facilities management, and information technology services.
Network Administrator I - Data Center
Provide operational support for data center and physical network infrastructure needs within the IT Service Delivery Operations Organization.
What You'll Do:

• Provide technical direction to other departments on cabling and data center standards.
• Define and implement standards in accordance with industry best practices.
• Create and execute detailed implementation plans for new and existing infrastructure.
• Rack elevation documentation.
• Administer the unclassified telecommunications infrastructure.
• Execute basic troubleshooting skills to address stability objectives.
• Help maintain IDF/MDF telecom closets.
• Vendor Management.
• Project Management.
• Inventory management.
• Fiber/Cooper terminations/troubleshooting/labeling.
• Assist in establishing and adhering to standard processes and documentation.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

What You'll Need:

• Related Bachelor's and 2 or more years of related experience; or HS Diploma and 8 or more years of related experience.
• Each higher-level degree, i.e., Associate's, Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for additional years of experience.
• Related certifications may count towards years of related experience.
• Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
• Experience with Fiber optics.
• Experience with CAT3/5/6 cabling.
• Experience with patching, tracing, and verifying layer 1 connectivity.
• Experience with IP Addressing and VLAN's.
• Experience with maintaining IDF/MDF telecom closets.
• Experience with Project Management.
• Experience with Vendor Management.
• Experience with Vizio, Adobe Acrobat, & Excel.
• Experience with Data center management.
• Basic knowledge of the following platforms to ensure stable operations throughout the enterprise:
  • LAN, WAN, MAN solutions
  • Data Center infrastructures
  • Network monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • MAC (Move, Add, Change) support.
  • Network Port activations.
  • IP-based voice and collaboration technologies.

Full-Time On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site full-time. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Compensation & Benefits:

• HIRING SALARY RANGE: $73,500 - $99,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
