Title: Network and Security Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC

Primary Responsibilities

The engineer's primary responsibility will be to install, support and maintain the Cisco Network & Palo Alto Security environment (hardware & software) in accordance with team's operating practices.

As a member of the Global Network and Firewall Team, the engineer's main areas of focus will be:

• Pro-actively maintain the Network and Security hardware, applications and services - (Cisco/Palo Alto)
• Troubleshoot connectivity or performance issues in partnership with technology teams.
• Conduct upgrades and patching of the Network and Security devices and applications.
• Respond to emergency situations and performing effective troubleshooting during production Incidents.
• Provide support on projects, including design, documentation and deployment plans.
• Provide support of Network & Security service deployments.
• Updating documentation for the Network & Security environment.
• Management of Control, Audit and Risk routines.

Qualifications/Requirements

The Engineer will have deep working experience with:

• Networking:
  • Cisco CCNA - Switching and Routing
  • Cisco & Meraki - Routing, Switching, IOS upgrading, general troubleshooting
  • SD-WAN Experience (Silver Peak Preferred)
  • Working experience with the following protocols: OSPF, BGP, VLAN, VRF, IP
  • WAN Technologies: MPLS, Internet, DWDM
  • Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analyzers

• Security:
  • Palo Alto product suite including Prisma SASE, Prisma Access, Wildfire, Minemeld and Global Protect.
  • PAN-OS knowledge v9.x & 10.x
  • Experience with Illumio
  • Authentication methodologies, including 2FA, RADIUS, LDAP, AD

• Strong knowledge of all around infrastructure technologies
• General Cloud experience (Azure/VMWare)
• Scripting skills (Python)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience with ITIL processes
