Summary of the role:

Navitaire is going through a transformation to move its operations and services into the public cloud, using the leading providers. For this transformation Navitaire is searching for a Network Architect with strong cloud skills; specifically with Azure networking or another public cloud provider. The Network Architect is a member of the Technology division and is responsible for shaping network technology, principles, and best practices for Navitaire. This role will partner heavily with other parts of the Technology, Engineering divisions, and Amadeus organization to ensure alignment and consistent practices in fulfilling network requirements for the enterprise.

In this role you'll:

• Collaborate with other Navitaire and Amadeus departments including product teams, engineering, security, legal/IP and operations for network requirements and execution.
• Planning, designing, creating business case of funding for enterprise networking in Azure.
• Overseeing installation and upgrading of network projects.
• Troubleshooting the issues and enhancing network performance.
• Making recommendations to improve network to be more resilient and consistent and reducing operating costs.
• Documenting and versioning network architecture and associated process for engineering and operations. Preparing the workflow, roadmap, requirements for a network infrastructure.
• Lead, mentor and train other engineers around best practices and policies for securing public cloud network solutions.
• Work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams throughout company as a subject matter expert in Azure networking best practices.

About the ideal candidate:

• Masters or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Senior level architect with 5-7 years of planning, architecting, and engineering enterprise networks.
• 2+ years of experience with architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting greenfield and/or migrations to public cloud.
• Azure, AWS and/or GCP cloud services and experience
• Provide examples where capability to design and maintain secure network solutions to support PCI, GDPS, PII or other industry standards.
• Experience in IAC concepts and automation tools to build out and maintain consistent networks on multiple Azure regions worldwide.
• Strong organization and analytical skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills
• Excellent planning and organizational skills

Highly Desired

• Experience with Palo Alto, Aviatrix, and Azure networking components.
