Network Architect Level CCIE

ECS is seeking a Network Architect Level CCIE to work in our Washington, DC office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description:

• Proficiency in planning, design, integration, optimization, operations, security and continuing support of large Enterprise network environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required.
• Must have strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills.
• This person will have comprehensive experience in large ISP LAN/WAN designs and the ability to architect appropriate solutions based on the customer's needs and detailed analysis.
• Will have experience working in a large network environment and familiar with supporting remote sites.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor or Master Degree with Computer Science or Engineering.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as an Enterprise Architect Specializing in Active Directory services including a minimum of four (4) years of experience in cloud technologies such as but not limited to Azure and AWS.
• Extensive experience designing mission critical infrastructure in enterprise environments.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise solutions that increase the availability and security of the enterprise.
• Extensive experience with on premise physical infrastructure and Virtualization technologies including Hyper-V, VMWare, SAN, FCoe, NFS, SMB3 etc.
• Extensive experience with networking and security methods and tools.
• Experience with major cloud providers preferred.
• Possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills.
• Proven experience with managing and using Dev Ops concepts.
• Certification: CCIE.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Cisco 3750 / 2950 / 4500 / 6500 switches.
• Experience with Nexus 7000 switches.
• Troubleshooting skills with WAN routing using BGP and OSPF in large networks with multiple BGP adjacencies between ISPs.
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools such as Cisco Works, NetQOS, and other similar SNMP monitoring platforms.
• Understanding of network optimization using QOS and traffic engineering techniques.
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience with implementing firewalls and perimeter security measures.
• Solid Cisco Voice skills (Call Manager, Unity, QOS, Meeting Place, IPCC Express, Telepresence).
• Experience in or desire to gain knowledge and training in Cisco Advanced Technology.
