Position Summary:
SHEIN Global Security and Risk Management (GSRM) is a global security organization that oversees security infrastructure, risk management, data privacy, governance and regulatory compliance across SHEIN's global footprint. The Network Architect will be focused on architecting, building and supporting a global enterprise network with SD-WAN while integrating Cloud security site interconnectivity. Within GSRM, the network architect is responsible for all WAN/LAN designs, maintenance of platform, policy, playbook and protocol development, supporting network reliability of enterprise locations. There will be a close relationship between the Network Team, Security Engineering and SOC to support network interconnectivity, incident response and connectivity resolution on a global scale. Additionally, the architect will ensure all production network and security controls and technologies are evaluated, enabled, monitored and built with efficacy, effectiveness and continuous improvement, to meet or exceed industry guidelines.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Architect, build, and support a secure and resilient global enterprise network.
  • Lead the design and implementation of new network solutions, and/or improvement of existing networks.
  • Lead the design and integration of security measures like Network Access Control (NAC) into our wired and wireless LAN networks.
  • Lead the development of a network monitoring and alerting tool to ensure security and resiliency.
  • Develop a comprehensive program to baseline and continuously improve SLAs across all sites.
  • Architect visibility/protection type technologies, sustaining high-availability service levels and ensuring fulfillment of business-wide service levels.
  • Collaborate with the security reliability engineering, change management, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and incident response functions and participate in any day-to-day cross-functional relationships to fulfill business needs.
  • Participate in creating and updating new strategies, project plans, and policy documents based on network, security, and data protection request that map to SHEIN's business requirements.
  • Work directly with business units to facilitate change requests, incident response protocols, network, and security analysis, solution requirements, and technology roadmaps to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Proactively identify and resolve high-risk network and security issues.
  • Establish credibility throughout the global organization by earning a reputation for being a network/security SME and proactive leader.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent advanced technology field of study.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud and enterprise networking, cloud and premise reachability, and experience in e-commerce, ISP, or technology industry preferred.
  • This is a hands-on opportunity that will require a comprehensive understanding of routing (BGP, OSPF, IGP, EGP, etc.), SD-WAN, network security, and enterprise to Cloud interconnectivity technologies capable of providing direct, reliable, and redundant connectivity.
  • Experience building and running from the ground up a segmented, highly available, geographically redundant, secure, and platform-managed enterprise network.
  • Strong working knowledge of all enterprise-type connectivity requirements, AWS/Azure/GCP/Tencent/Alibaba type providers, and related architectures, for enterprise interconnects, data tunneling, and reliable reachability.
  • Must have experience partnering with global ISPs for circuit provisioning, connectivity reporting, and SLA adherence.
  • Should have managed a distributed environment at scale, inclusive of network interconnectivity with security best practices and segmentation.
  • Working knowledge of Aruba switches, access points, ClearPass, and Central for the enterprise.
  • Working knowledge 802.1x and NAC (Network Access Control).
  • Must be able to support on-call, escalation, and high-paced/fast-tempo production environments.
  • Ability to translate network interconnectivity to enterprise and cloud resources from a technical perspective to business-line understanding and execution.
  • Ability to work with extremely technical staff working on very sensitive subject areas and with extremely sensitive information.
  • Experience with change management lifecycle, development, and regular preparation of management status and key metrics reports.
  • Should have strong process and procedure ownership experience for audit and control systems.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and guidelines like GDPR, CCPA, PCI, and CPA a Plus.
  • High level of personal integrity, with the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exudes the appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
  • Must be a strong communicator with exceptional verbal and written communication skills to translate vision and strategy into clear priorities and direction, both internally and externally.
  • We're hybrid 2 days in the office now but transitioning into the office-only work model by Summer 2023.
