Network Automation and Tools Engineer - Specialty in Tools and Network Automation

The Network Automation and Tools Engineer plays a critical role in implementing modern and innovative network automation solutions for our internal teams. This is a highly technical role that is responsible for implementing Network to Code solutions that drive positive business outcomes for our users. We are looking for candidates that thrive on technological challenges and can work in a dynamic environment, providing automated solutions while integrating our suite of tools.

Minimum of 8 years of experience demonstrating the following skills:

• Programming/automation
  • Python
  • JavaScript
  • Ansible
• Software Development
• Overall front-end/back-end development
• High confidence and ability of leveraging APIs
• High confidence and ability to deploy virtual environments.
• Basic understanding of industry standard security provisions
• Self-starter that can work both independently and with a team.
• Active participant in group discussions with the ability to both understand and explain complex scenarios to technical and non-technical audience.
• Working knowledge of network orchestration tools
• Ability to understand a problem and produce a solution.
• Ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfort in day-to-day Linux operations
• Working knowledge around data management
  • Source of truth
  • CMDB
• Familiarity with Docker - build, maintain, deploy.

The following skills are required at a fundamental level:

• OSI model, specifically TCP/IP

The ideal candidate possesses the above skills as well as:

• Solid experience in at least one high level programming language
• Version control skills with Gitxxx
• Linux administrative skills
• Familiarity with Jinja and Velocity Scripting
• Familiarity with Confluence
• Knowledge of network protocols along with hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent experience in data networking
• Normally requires a B.S. degree in Computer Science or related discipline
