Network Design Specialist

Position Description

The Network Designer Specialist will develop creative and cost-effective GIS-based outside plant solutions in support of Zayo’s global network expansion initiatives while working cross-functionally and interact with internal and external peers and management team to exchange complex information related to GIS-based OSP design.

Responsibilities

• Learn to develop creative and cost effective outside plant solutions in support of Zayo’s global network expansion initiatives
• Possess good business acumen and able to build strong relationships
• Participate in regular support and provide prompt service to team and other assigned projects
• Ability to create efficient designs for new development, network relocations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Experience in use of GIS systems such as Esri ArcGIS (2-4 years)
• Experience in the construction and/or telecommunications industry preferred
• Entry level knowledge and accuracy of outside plant estimating and construction preferred
• Salesforce.com experience preferred.
• Experience with Google Earth, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and AutoCAD Viewers software preferred

• Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact effectively with all personnel, vendors, and customers

Base pay range: $58,100 - $77,400 commensurate with experience.
