WSP is currently initiating a search for a part-time Network Engineer for our Detroit office working as extension of staff for the Road Commision for Oakland County.

Your Impact

- Maintain existing private leased network for the customer

- Responsible for coordinating the integration of new devices to the Traffic Management Platform

- Evaulate new network hardware for deployment, support firmware releases, and support configuration management of all equipment.

- Develop procedures and configurations for ITS equipment used on the network for optimal performance.

- Responsible for maintaining video sharing policies, configurations, and video feeds to meet customer needs and systems integration.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications• 5 years working in the wireless and cellular industry• E xperience working with network switches, routers, firewalls, IP scheme development, integration of network devices to traffic management software and systems• Experience working in Traffic Operations Centers• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures (DO NOT DELETE THIS REQUIREMENT)• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies (DO NOT DELETE THIS REQUIREMENT)

Preferred Qualifications• Experience working with APN/AVPN private networks• Advanced Network Certifications in Cisco (CCNA, CCNP)• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical related field
