Job Summary

Act in the capacity of a senior network engineer working on tasks, incidents, projects throughout the HealthPlan Services network per approved change window and architectural guidelines. The engineer will work on various network hardware/software such as Cisco Routers/Switches, F5 load balancers, Cisco FTD and Nexus 9K, 7K, 5K, 2K and Cisco ACI

Essential Job Functions/Duties

The engineer will work to ensure that network/firewall devices are implemented, maintained and highly available as deployed for the business' applications. The engineer will configure and troubleshoot the network that supports connectivity to the business' applications. The engineer will produce detailed implementation instructions or carry out required changes to complete tasks/projects, resolve incidents/problems, and for changes/improvements requested by management and the architecture teams.

The engineer is required to update/maintain all documentation requested by management and will be tasked with improving such documentation as required. The engineer must be prepared to participate in 24/7 rotation shift schedule and weekend shifts, to be called upon after the normal business day when needed.

Requirements

• To be a subject matter expert in Cisco FTD
• To be a subject matter expert in F5 Load Balancer
• Excellent understanding of TCP/IP
• Excellent troubleshooting skill
• Familiar with Cisco ISE
• Familiar with Cisco Umbrella
• Familiar with the installation of the networking equipment in datacenter
• Familiar with Network Monitoring Tools
• Familiar with using packet analyzers such as Wire Shark
• Familiar with Cisco Router & Switch Configuration and Troubleshooting
• Familiar with Network Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting
• Familiar with Routing Protocols OSPF and BGP
• Familiar with Provisioning MPLS Circuits
• Define and document a process to ensure that the components that make up a production service have adequate capacity and scalability to handle anticipated traffic volumes
• Familiar with designing and implementing highly available, fault tolerant network solutions
• Perform quarterly firewall reviews and rule consolidation
• Perform risk assessments on networking infrastructure

Minimum Education & Experience

• Five years or more experience working with Cisco FTD
• Five years or more experience working with F5
• Must be available in Tampa Florida

• Excellent with documentation

• Excellent communication skills
• Having one or more of the following certifications is a plus CCIE Security, CCNP Security, CCNA Security, CISSP, F5 LTM, F5 GTM, F5 WAF
